on the wave wake of the angelkynn tour 2025

This tour is designed for both those deeply familiar with ancient languages and history and those with little to no prior experience, offering a rich and immersive journey through Northern Europe's historical and literary landscapes. A special group of Linguists will engage more deeply with original texts in Latin, Old English, and Old Norse, however the tour is open to everyone interested in exploring the roots of medieval and Anglo-Saxon culture and literature. All will engage with incredible texts of literature while visiting key historical sites.

Participants will explore key historical sites, starting in Copenhagen and visiting locations such as Lejre, the possible site of Heorot, and Sutton Hoo, before traveling through England's historic regions—Northumbria, Mercia, and Wessex - highlighting major Anglo-Saxon landmarks. In London, museum visits will bring the world of Beowulf and early English history to life. This educational tour blends historical learning, cultural immersion, and literary exploration, making it accessible and enriching for all participants, regardless of background or expertise.
